The important thing to remember about the Hi Lo Card Counting method is that you can’t count through the deck of cards to determine if the next number is higher or lower than a number. You can only determine a “high low” and “low” card count. With this method, you’re able to assign a point value to each card in the deck and then keep a running count as the cards are shown. Once the cards are shown, you add the number to the point count.
This makes it easier to determine if you have higher or lower odds and you’ll have an idea if the next number is higher or lower. Using this system can be quite confusing, so make sure you practice a few times before trying to use this on a real card.
